Crowds of intrigued observers paused at the table to admire the large display of B'hoys Towne on which both the demo games were to be played. Encouragingly, the Players expressed great enjoyment, and most proved their sincerity by purchasing the rules and/or Bobby Jackson's unbeatable B'hoys! figures in the Dealers' Room.
As the first game was winding down, 0fficials from the Convention arrived and

for its unique visual appeal,
based on the comment the layout had caused.

As co-Author and Games Master of the event, your Reporter had no idea the Award had any significance until so informed later! Indeed, no special effort had been made to make "B'hoys Towne" look to be any more than it is. Given the 500+ games at HistoriCon, and so many on all subjects that were, to this observer, far more impressive visually, the honor won by "B'hoys Towne" is all the more gratifying.

TVAG wishes to express thanks to Richard Houston who assembled the layout, and to those whose enthusiastic response caught the attention of the Judges who so honored these models. This is a great spur and encouragement to continue providing the several new cardstock projects on all subjects already in the works. Thank You, HistoriCon, 2003!
