Buildings and Figures

Wraps to convert 6" cars to lineside buildings. 2-D figures in the Marx® tradition.

Yard Office Red 2261
Yardmaster's Office w/Interior (Red) – $8.50
Yard offices in the steam era were often converted caboose bodies, with the trucks removed and the frame hidden by skirting. Convert one of those extra 6" cabooses to a distinctive railroad building and have some wheels and couplers left over. Can be built with or without car frame. This wrap goes well with the dark red NYC caboose. Interior detailing included, similar to 2210 Caboose Interiors.

2262 - Yardmaster's Office w/Interior (Yellow, Brown) – $8.50
Similar to 2260. Goes well with the Union Pacific yellow caboose.

Farm Animals 1

2271
Farm Animals - Cattle, Sheep, Pigs– $8.50
Easy-to-make Farm Animals are designed to complement Marx's hard-to-find tin-litho livestock flats, as included in the 304 Cattle Runway and farm figure sets. 17 animals – 5 bulls/steers, 2 cows, 5 sheep, 5 pigs (not all are shown in photo). Two-sided with high-gloss litho-like finish.

Frames and Car Parts

Parts can be added to cars for greater detail.

Frames fit any later Marx® 6" tin frame. Because of embossing on frame, the fit is not perfect, but looks good when properly applied.

2201
Early Marx-style Red Frames (4)– $8.50
Give your cars the cheerful look of early Marx® red-framed cars with printed detail. Three sets of full-length sideframes and ends, plus one full frame with floor (for flatcar).
Sideframes can be inserted between car frame and body, or permanently glued.

2202
Early 'Missing Wheel'-style Frames (5)
– $8.50
These give a later car the appealing look of early-production Marx® 6" cars, though, of course, the axles will still be in the later positions. Four sets of
full-length sideframes and one full frame with floor (for flatcar).
Sideframes can be inserted between car frame and body, or permanently glued.

2203 - Red 'Missing Wheel'-style Frames (4)– $8.50
For a whimsical change of pace, these resemble the early 'missing wheel' frames, but in a never-made color. Three sets of sideframes and ends and one full frame with floor.
Sideframes can be inserted between car frame and body, or permanently glued.

2210
Caboose Interiors (2)
– $8.50
The 6" caboose's wide windows show off the detail in these printed interiors, even without wiring and illuminating the car. Includes bunks, desk, potbellied stove, flags, flares and equipment. No gluing required.

  2211 - Car Floors – $8.50
Various wood-plank styles for open-door boxcars, stock cars, or flatcars. One sheet can fit 9 or more cars. Four partial floor sections to show through open boxcar doors, and five full length floors to use for flatcars (or cut into even more boxcar doors). Gluing required - do not use on valued cars.
2215 - Roofwalks and Hatches for repainted roofs– $8.50
Roofwalks in cream, grey, black, and brown, in various styles to fit 10 cars. Hatches for 12 refrigerator or other cars.
Gluing required - do not use on valued cars.

FREIGHT CAR LOADS

Loads fit specific Marx® 6" cars. Gondola/hopper loads add realism and play value to empty cars. They are easily added and removed without damage to cars.

2221
Gondola Loads – Coal, Ore, and Gravel
– $8.50
Three realistic shaped loads have the look of impact-formed tin. They fit Marx® 6" gondola cars (high and low-side), hopper cars, and side-dump cars.

2222
Gondola Loads – Coal – $8.50
Similar to 2221, but all three loads are coal.

2223
Gondola Loads – Ore
– $8.50
Similar to 2221, but all three loads are red-oxide iron ore.

2224
Gondola Loads – Gravel
– $8.50
Similar to 2221, but all three loads are tan-colored gravel.

2229
Gondola Loads – Canvas Cover
– $8.50
Three loads represent canvas covers fitting over gondola cars. Useful for circus and military trains. They fit Marx® 6" gondola cars (high and low-side), hopper cars, and even side-dump cars.

2238
Covered Hopper Roofs
– $8.50
Three roofs convert standard Marx® hopper cars to covered hoppers. Roofs show hatch and roofwalk detail. Colors are red, blue, and brown to match the most common Marx® hopper cars. Roofs can also fit high- and low-side gondola cars.

ASSEMBLY HELPERS

2290
Caboose Platform Fillers (3) – $2.00
Three low-cost fold-up blocks neatly fill caboose platforms and add strength when using wraps with a boxcar-type end on a caboose body. One filler is used for open-platform observation car wraps and two fillers can let you use a caboose body for a normal boxcar or passenger-car wrap.
Now you have a use for those boxes of scarred cabooses in the back of your closet.

SEE HOW EASY IT IS to convert a worn-out car into a shiny new centerpiece for your train.

NOTE: FauxToys does not sell complete locomotives or cars.
