(Please note that all figures and vehicles seen in the following are from TVAG's personal collection and are NOT sold as part of the Mean Streets project.)

Full Block Sbabaro's End

The first full Block of Mean Streets in one possible configuration. Sbabaro's Funeral Parlor in the foreground.
Full Block SMC Cartage Co. End

At the opposite end of the first Block, lower right corner, is the infamous SMC Cartage Co. Garage, site of the "St. Valentine's Day Massacre," also closely modeled on period photos of the now defunct building.
The Diamond Ace Building

Is that Sam Spade hanging around out front of the Diamond Ace?
Carlington Hotel & Diamond Ace Club

Around the corner of the Diamond Ace is the Carlington Hotel, where the three-day-old doughnuts and bed bugs are on the house.
Roof of the Carlington

Great view of the city from up here, and better since they took down that shed and put up the sign. ...Oh, watch that first step.
SMC Cartage Co. Garage and Lot

Next door to the Diamond Ace is the SMC Cartage Co. Garage and Lot. Got really loud in there once--even the Carlington's vermin complained.
Other side of Diamond Ace/Carlington Block Section

On the other side of the block, the street side of the SMC Cartage Co. and the Bijou Movie Theater next door.
Bijou Movie Theater Front

Someone's waiting for somebody to come out after the movie.
Shoot Out at the Bijou

Maybe everybody shoulda stayed home.
Shoot Out at the Bijou 2
Shoot Out at the Bijou 3
Shoot Out at the Bijou 4
Bijou and Gaiety Theater Fronts

Now that's settled, next door is the Gaiety Burlesque Theater.

Gaiety Burlesque Theater Lobby
Someone else loitering at the Theater Lobby.
Burlesque Front and Scott's Newstand

Hmmm... Looks like more guys hanging around waitin'. Maybe we should move around the corner....
Scott's Newstand

Oh, if you need a paper or a Pulp to read, here's the best spot in town.
Burlesque Theater and Side of Sbabaro's Funeral Home

Around the corner is the Shoe Shop and Sbabaro's Funeral Home.
Shoe Shop, Sbabaro's, and Anastasio's Apartments

Them's the Anastasio's Apartments at the end of the block. (...Can't seem to ditch that guy....)
Anastasios, None Finer Diner, Manzarelli's, and back of the Burlesque Theater

Round the corner of Anastasio's is the None Finer Diner, Manzarelli's Market, and the back of the Gaiety Theater.
Back of the Burlesque Theater, front of Legano's Restaurant

Up the Block past the Gaiety is the Barber Shop, Mama Legano's Italian Restaurant, and the Carlington.
Front of Barber Shop and Legano's Restaurant

Best Italian food in town and frequent meetin' place of the "Friends of Eye-Talian Opera."
Pigeon cote on Legano's roof

That's Tony Legano's Pigeon cote. He took his first--and last--flyin' lesson there.
The Beer Will Be Late Tonight!

Uh Oh! Look's like Rosatto Brothers are going to be late with the beer tonight!
Some fink must've squealed to the Cops!
The price of beer is going up!
...And it used to be such a quiet neighborhood!
Legano's Alley and the Carlington Hotel

And that brings us back to the Carlington. Hey, if you like the neighborhood, move on in. And bring your FAMILY. If youse knows what I mean....

A View Down Lexington Ave.

Here's a look down Lexington Avenue.
Lexington Ave from above.

Here's the same Street, different angle.

Back of the Acme Warehouse.

Look's like someone's just made a pick-up back of the Acme Warehouse....

Mighty Whitey McGee Takes The Streetcar Named 'Duck!'

That's "Mighty Whitey" McGee over there. He never shares a Streetcar ride with guys in trench coats.

Mighty Whitey McGee Doesn't Carry Exact Change, But Always Gets A Ride Anyway

He used to work for "Big Jim," and whenever he sees those old Ad's, he gets nostalgic.

The View From Broad Street

"They just put that Asphalt stuff over the old brick streets, but left the Streetcar Tracks alone. Guess the Transit Company got "The Fix" in.
