"The Sand Pebbles" In 15mm Scale
(08/16/06)
In anticipation of Regiment Games nascent line of 15mm US
Sailors and Chinese for the 1920's to be called "China Sailor," Richard Houston has produced TWO
nearly identical models of the famous Gunboat of novel and movie fame, the USS San Pablo
(aka "Sand Pebbles").
Both models measure 18" in length and 4"
on the beam, with hulls made from basswood, and upper works of reinforced printed card stock.
The funnel, searchlights, rails, and ladders are all metal.
Now, armament is provided, courtesy
of The London War Room and their new line of
15mm Gunboat Armaments, designed by Richard. The following unassembled, unpainted weapons will be
included for the price: one 3" Main Gun, a 20mm Oerlikon, and six Lewis Guns.
The only visible difference between both
models is the waterline, a bright red on the one, and a darker shade on the other.
Please specify which you prefer when ordering.
(The model illustrated has the "Dark Red" waterline.)
