New!
From Designer Chris Ferree comes
this unique set of Flags for the Second Maratha War (1803-1804).
As with Chris' Sikh Wars Flag Collection, these are accurate and
finely detailed reproductions of all Colors and Standards carried
by the British and Honorable East India Company, plus a wide
representative selection of Maratha flags.
There are two British/HEIC Sets. The first
provides all Colors and Standards carried by units under Sir
Arthur Wellesley (the future Duke of Wellington), and his
second-in-command, General Stephenson, in the Southern Campaign
against Scindia. The second set covers all units under the
command of General Lake in his northern campaign against
Holkar.
The Maratha Sets are based on best evidence
currently available about the size, patterns, and colors of this
potent Native Army, largely trained, officered, and led by such
Europeans as Brigadier Pohlmann (whose personal flag is also
included). While direct information about which flags may
have been associated with any specific Regular Infantry Battalion
or Cavalry Regiment is lacking, Chris has provided a fair
representation of the flags that could have been carried by any of
these.
As with our others lines, The 2nd Maratha War
Flags are printed on 24-lb paper, in full color, and available in
four popular wargame scales: 25/28mm, 20mm, 15mm, and 6mm.
Buyers need only indicate which scale they wish for each set when
ordering.
All Flags sets retail for the same price whatever
the scale, and while the number of flags in each varies, the price
per flag runs around .50 Cents each. However, as the number
of Maratha Irregular units could be huge--the 6mm set of these
contains a whopping 318 flags!
