Urban Gang Combat
in 19th Century America

In 1928, Herbert Asbury wrote The Gangs Of New York, a compelling history of a time when gangs working in direct association with the infamous Tammany Hall machine and their political rivals, and controlled New York's streets through mob violence and full scale riot.

Now you can recreate this brutal but romantic era with B'hoys!, a tabletop gaming system utilizing 28mm figures, buildings, rules, and accessories.

The Virtual Armchair General's B'hoys! Products:

B'hoys! Figures
from Thrilling Combat Miniatures

Available exclusively through The Virtual Armchair General, these are master sculptor Bobby Jackson's tribute to Asbury's amazing book.

B'hoys! Rules Set
from TVAG
Inspired by Asbury's The Gangs of New York, our exclusive B'hoys! rules for miniature gaming are an innovative approach to 1:1 war games, featuring all the eye-gouging, biting, back-cutting, clawing, stomping, and barehanded action you can handle.
Check it out, Boyo

"Hell-Cat Maggie"

While Asbury's book is still in print, gamers can find more immediate gratification in Martin Scorsese's film, "The Gangs Of New York." While the script doesn't do the actual subject justice, the situations, costumes, atmosphere, and action still are definitely "inspirational!"
